A fund's first auditable carbon baseline — from a standing start
Situation
No ESG data governance, no carbon baseline, no materiality framework, and investors asking for all three within one fund cycle.
What we did
Audited portfolio data and closed an 18-item gap register, calculated the baseline from 126 facility-level data points, ran a double materiality assessment, and built the tracking and reporting tools.
Result
The fund's first auditable Scope 1 and 2 baseline, 18 climate initiatives ranked by financial return, and investor disclosure reports in two frameworks.
ESG risk caught before term sheet, and reporting that holds up to exit
Situation
Mandatory SFDR reporting obligations, no standards-aligned emissions baseline, and no way to show ESG improvement over the holding period.
What we did
Screened pipeline targets before term sheet, built an ISO 14064-1 Scope 1–3 inventory, assessed EU Taxonomy alignment, and scored every company for assurance readiness.
Result
Complete mandatory disclosure coverage, critical issues surfaced on two of three acquisition targets before term sheet, and blocking gaps identified before a verifier was appointed.

EE StrategyPlus was founded in January 2023 on a simple observation: strategy advice, climate and sustainability reporting, and transformation delivery are usually bought from three different providers, leaving the client to stitch the handoffs together. We built this firm so they can be run together when that helps, and separately when it doesn't.
Our experience spans sectors and disciplines — energy and infrastructure project delivery, technology-sector transformation, and climate and ESG advisory among them — which is why our engagements don't stop at the recommendation. We size the plan to the business in front of us, then stay to build the roadmap and run the delivery. We are based in the United Kingdom and work with clients across EMEA and the US.
